International Student Program Update

English Language Centre/ ILC Graduation 

We held an ILC graduation ceremony for our current ILC students on Tuesday 11 June during the MMP. Ms Tracey Bastin, our College Assistant Principal, and Mrs Brigitte Podesser, our ILC Manager/Coordinator, congratulated the students and presented them with graduation certificates and gifts. Congratulations to Stella Du, Shaunen Xue, Jane Liu, Emily Liang, Bowen Zhang , Harry Liu, Niko Zhang and Dily Leang. We wish them all the best for their mainstream study commencing next week. We would like to thank all the teachers who were involved with our ILC teaching.  Thank you to the College administration team for organising  the graduation certificates and  the ongoing support. 

ILC Science class

To help our new international students improve their English proficiency and transition smoothly to mainstream study we offer many different subjects for the students in ILC, including English, Humanities, Science, Maths, Physical Education, IT and Arts. Today we are delighted to share one of ILC students - Dily's experience and science notes made during the Science class.

"Today, my Science teacher Ms Liapis taught us how to do the experiment in the school science room. We are required to put on lab coats  and safety goggles. The experiment is about the process of SUBLIMATION. We use the small pieces of iodine crystal to heat it up and we can see the change: the colour is changing to purple steam that came to the top of the test tube. It is such a miracle! "
