New Books

Over the past few weeks, I've been able to purchase a number of new books for our library. The students are excited to borrow many of the new titles and I can't wait to get them catalogued and out onto the shelves! If you're able to spare some time to contact/cover a few books, either at school (at drop off or pickup), or if you could take a small pile home (contact is supplied), I would be very appreciative. The faster new books get covered and onto the shelves, the faster the students are able to enjoy them :)

Book Club

Orders for the latest Scholastic Book Club (Issue 7) have now been processed. Orders will be sent home with your child once they're delivered to school. If you have emailed me to say that your order is a surprise Christmas gift, I will keep it in the office and notify you when it's ready for  collection. 

Overdues

Students are asked to return their books weekly or fortnightly. Some books may need to be renewed for an extra week or two which is fine, however there are currently a number of extremely overdue books out on loan. 

I do remind the students weekly but if you could please kindly remind them to have a look around at home for any SJV library books, that would be terrific. Our books can be identified by the barcode on the back which has the school name on it. It would be great if all overdue books could be returned as soon as possible.

Borrowing will be encouraged until the end of the year and also for the Summer holiday period.
