Plant & Produce Market – Autumn Family Day Wrap-Up 

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make last Friday’s Plant & Produce Market such a beautiful part of our BNWPS Autumn Family Day celebrations. 

The after-school atmosphere was absolutely lovely, with music, community connection, happy kids and plenty of autumn magic — and we were very lucky with the weather too!

A special thank you to Denis Phelan for organising the student-led musical experience, and to the classroom and specialist teachers who supported the students in preparing their performances and singing.

We’re also incredibly grateful to all the volunteers, contributors and helpers who brought the market to life — whether through baking, gardening, crafting, setting up, packing down, or helping on the stalls.

Special shout-out to our wonderful student helpers: Evie, Mabel, Maebh and Pippa.

We’d also like to acknowledge Joel’s fantastic “Plant & Produce Prep” WhatsApp group crew for helping build community spirit and support in the lead-up to the event — including Joel, Chris, Nick, David, Danny and Malcolm, alongside many others who contributed behind the scenes.

A huge thank you again to all the families who donated homemade treats, crafts, plants, herbs, veggies and flowers, and to everyone who came along to support the market, and gratitude to the Community Engagement Team for bringing it all together. 

Events like this are only possible because of the many people who contribute in both big and small ways across our school community. It’s so special to be able to connect, share and spend time together in these informal community spaces.

We can’t wait for the next one!

SAVE THE DATE – Annual Trivia Night Saturday 1 August (Term 3) – Grown-ups only

It’s back! Our much-loved Annual Trivia Night returns for another fun, adults-only evening out. Parents, carers, teachers and staff are all invited to come together off-site for a night of connection, laughs and a little friendly competition. 

Think costumes (encouraged, not essential), raffles, auctions, food, drinks and dancing.

It’s always a highlight of the year — and one of our biggest fundraisers for the school.

Lock it in your calendar and start lining up childcare now — more details on the way!

We always welcome new volunteers, with flexible and low-pressure ways to get involved — reach out if you’re interested or have any questions (see email below).

Please note: the Community Events Team (CET) and Spring Magic Market (SMM) teams are separate. 

Spring Magic Market is a major BNWPS annual event, with more details coming later in the year. For enquiries about market planning or stalls, please contact market@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au. 

(Families are very welcome to be involved in both teams.)
