Principal's Report

Principal’s Report

It has been another wonderful period of celebration and achievement at Clyde Primary School.

One of the highlights has been Clyde’s Got Talent, where our students had the opportunity to showcase their many and varied talents. From singing and dancing to musical performances and other impressive acts, the confidence, creativity and courage displayed by our students was outstanding. We are incredibly proud of every student who took to the stage and shared their talents with our school community. Events such as these are a wonderful reminder of just how talented our Clyde students are!

We have also been celebrating some fantastic sporting success, with our students performing strongly at the Casey Netball competition. Congratulations to all students who represented the school with enthusiasm, teamwork and great sportsmanship. It is always wonderful to see our students striving for their personal best while supporting and encouraging one another.

There is plenty more to look forward to in the coming weeks, with Lightning Premiership and District Athletics on the horizon. We wish all of our students the very best as they prepare to represent Clyde Primary School. We know they will approach these events with determination, teamwork and the positive attitude that makes us so proud.

Congratulations to all of our students on their achievements. Whether in the classroom, on the stage or on the sporting field, it is fantastic to see our students' embracing opportunities, challenging themselves and striving for excellence.

Book Week and Parade

Each year, across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together celebrating Children’s Book Week. Throughout the year, the CBCA works in partnership with authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers and other organisations in the children’s book world to bring words, images and stories into the hearts and minds of children and adults.

This year, Book Week is being held from August 22nd – 28th at Clyde Primary school. Students shall celebrate Australian literature through a range of activities throughout the week, and our annual Book Week Parade.

Our Book Week parade shall be held on Friday August 28th, from 9:10am in the school gym. Parents and families are welcome to attend.

On this day we invite students to be creative as they embrace the theme, ‘Symphony of Stories’, and dress as their favourite literary character. We look forward to seeing you there!

Glow Room

Get ready to GLOW!

Between Monday 24th August and Friday 28th August (week 7), students will participate in a special Glow Room session during their regular Art class. The art room windows will be completely blacked out, and students will create glowing artworks using fluorescent paints under blacklights.

Students are welcome to bring a fluorescent or white item—such as a headband, socks, wristbands or another small accessory, that will glow under the blacklights, on their art day. Please remember that students must still wear their school uniform on the day.

As part of the fun, students may also have a few dots of non-toxic fluorescent paint applied to their face. Parents and carers will have the option to opt their child out of the face painting if preferred.

The Glow Room is a very special event that only happens once every two years at Clyde Primary School, and we can’t wait for our students to experience the magic of creating art that glows!

Families are welcome to check out the glow room after school on Tuesday September 1st (Week 8) and experience the fun for themselves.
