A prayer for Equity and Justice

Dear Jesus, teach us to love and to care,

By seeking out justice and being truly fair.

Help us treat others as we want to be treated,

With kindness and respect daily repeated.

May we welcome everyone, just as You do,

And build a community guided by You.

Amen.

TERM 3 GOSPEL VALUE: EQUITY AND JUSTICE

At St Roch's, we are deeply committed to equity and justice, striving to provide access and opportunity for all members of our community, with a heartfelt focus on supporting those who are poor or marginalised.

To help our students truly understand the core of fairness, we have a special focus during Week 1 and 2 on our Term 3 value of 'Equity and Justice'.

Living out equity and justice starts with simple, everyday actions in our classrooms and playgrounds.

We encourage our students to practice fairness by taking turns, playing by the rules, listening with an open mind, and thinking about how their actions affect others.

Ultimately, this commitment is grounded in our faith. Through Jesus, we discover that no matter who we are or where we are from, all are welcome. By practicing daily fairness and embracing this acceptance, we bring equity and justice to life in our school.
