Principal's Report

Thoughts from our Principal - Mrs Casey Chard

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

Welcome to Week 8

It’s hard to believe we are already in Week 8 of Term 3! The past few weeks have continued to be filled with events that highlight the spirit of our St Joseph’s community.

Thank you to all the families who supported our Father’s Day Breakfast and Gift Stall. While I was away at professional learning in Toowoomba, I heard the undercroft was buzzing with happy dads, grandads, children and special friends. My sincere thanks to the staff who organised this much-loved celebration.

On Sunday, it was a privilege to attend the First Holy Communion Mass at St Patrick’s Church. This beautiful occasion was a highlight of our faith life and I thank Miss McMeniman and Mr Withers for preparing the students with such care.

This week our students shone on the ACS Brain Olympia Finals stage, with Team 2 (Pink Team) awarded Runner-Up across the whole Diocese! Team 1 also had a fantastic day of competition. A huge thank you to our parents and to Mrs Libby Little for preparing and supporting our students so well.

Meanwhile, our St Joseph’s Open Mixed Netball team competed in the Netball NSW Regional Finals, finishing a commendable 4th in the region across all school systems. Congratulations to our players and a heartfelt thank you to Mrs Kristen Bailey and Mrs Jackie Barratt for their commitment in training and coaching our young people.

As the weather warms, we will begin the transition from winter to summer uniform in Weeks 9-10. During this changeover period, students may wear either the full winter uniform or the full summer uniform. We kindly ask that you also ensure your child is wearing the correct school shoes, school coloured hair ties and that they have a school hat every day.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our fabulous school.

May God bless you and your family.

Casey Chard
