A Place to Belong

We always say in boarding, ‘a busy boarder is a happy boarder’ and this week we should have a house full of happiness, as it has been a huge week!

Monday afternoon we welcomed Red Frogs Australia into the Boarding House. They cooked pancakes, shared red frogs and chatted with lots of students. Red Frogs are known for their positive peer presence and help around the safeguarding of adolescents. They will be joining us weekly for the remainder of this term and we look forward to this continued connection.

On Tuesday, Prep became Census night!  All boarders who were in-house completed their Census form. Thank you to Ms Podoliak and Dr G for assisting our boarding staff with completing forms with our boarders.

On Wednesday, our boarders enjoyed a great day out at the Ekka with spectacular weather. Many showbags have made their way back into boarding.

This week we have had the delight of hosting Year 9 Exchange student, Nat, from Kilvington Grammar School in Melbourne. Nat and her Clayfield College buddy, Molly, flew to Melbourne on Wednesday to complete their exchange week.

Driving

A reminder, if boarders require any driving, as per our conditions in the Boarding Handbook, please complete the Boarder Transport Application Form and return toboarding@clayfield.qld.edu.autwo weeks before the request.

Please note, health appointments are made by advice from our Health Centre and do not require the completion of this Boarder Transport Application Form.
