Leadership Update

Father’s Day / Special Person Morning 

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Father’s Day and Special Persons Breakfast on Friday 4th September. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the morning together.

A big thank you to our staff for helping with the planning, cooking and serving. We are also very grateful to WesEggs and Brumby’s East Geelong for their generous donations and to Vim Coffee Bar for serving delicious iced lattes.

We hope everyone had a fantastic morning!

SGPS Working Bee - Thankyou

A big thank you to all the families and students who volunteered their time at our school working bee on Saturday 29th August.

It was a fantastic morning and we greatly appreciate everyone’s help with weeding the garden beds, moving mulch, levelling the soft fall around our playgrounds, filling holes in the grass and replenishing the sandpits with fresh sand.

It has been wonderful to see our students enjoying the refreshed spaces. Thank you again for your time and support!

Professional Practice Day – Friday 9th October 

We will hold a Professional Practice Day on Friday 9th October. This will be a student-free day and students are not required to attend school.

The day will provide teachers with dedicated time to work collaboratively, plan curriculum and strengthen the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

Families are encouraged to make alternative care arrangements for their children on this day. Please contact the school if you are unable to make care arrangements for your child.

2026 Parent / Carer Opinion Survey

We invite all families to participate in the 2026 Parent / Carer Opinion Survey. Your feedback is important to us and helps us better understand families’ views on school climate, student behaviour and student engagement.

The online survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and is open until Friday 18 September 2026.

Niblett - Lunch Orders 

We are excited to announce we will continue to offer weekly lunch orders through Nibblet every Tuesday. 

nibblet is a Geelong-based school lunch order company founded by Tarika and Eduardo. They prepare fresh, wholesome lunches using locally sourced ingredients.

If you would like to order a lunch for your child, please visit:

Orders close at 8:00pm the day before. Any orders placed after the 8pm cut off will miss the Tuesday delivery.

Please note that regular lunch orders through the Yarra Street Milk Bar will continue to be available.

Division Athletics

Well done to all the students who represented South Geelong Primary School at the Division Athletics on Tuesday 1st September.
