We’re Taking It In Our Stride on Friday 22 May 2026!
It’s that exciting time again—Walk Safely to School Day is tomorrow! This annual event encourages us all to rethink how we get to school and find ways to add more walking into our daily routines. While walking the entire way might not be possible for everyone, there are easy ways to include extra steps each day.
Help your child develop healthy habits by:
Walking with them to school
If you drive, park a few blocks from school and walk the rest of the way
Walking regularly with your child doesn’t just boost physical health—it can also improve mental wellbeing, behaviour, and help prevent conditions like obesity, heart disease and diabetes. It’s also a chance to teach students safe habits around roads and traffic.
Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids! Start planning your Walk Safely to School Day journey for Friday 22 May 2026.

Safety reminders for students:
Early Stage 1 and Stage 1: Always hold a grown-up's hand when crossing the road, walking on the footpath, or in the car park
Stage 2: Hold an adult’s hand when crossing the road and use safe places to cross
Stage 3: Remember to Stop! Look! Listen! Think! before crossing, and always use a safe crossing
Let’s step up for safety and healthy habits together!
This year we are once again involved in the NSW Premier’s Spelling Bee. The Premier's Spelling Bee is an engaging way for NSW public primary school students to expand their vocabularies and improve their spelling. Designed for Stage 2 and 3, Stage 1 students are welcome to participate.
The timeline for the event is as follows:
| Weeks 3 -7 | in class heats, followed by Year finals |
| Week 8 | EPS finals where parents of successful finalists will be invited |
| Term 3 Week 3 | Regional finals via Zoom |

Our Jump Off Day is coming up on 5th June! On this special day, students are encouraged to wear red and show off their skipping skills to friends and classmates. Let’s finish strong and keep fundraising, keep skipping, and let’s make a difference together!
