This week, we proudly celebrate Catholic Education Week, a time to recognise and give thanks for the gift of Catholic education within our Diocese. This year’s theme, “Every School a Home of Peace,” invites us to reflect on how our school community can be a place where all feel safe, valued, respected and connected. It encourages us to foster peace in our words, actions and relationships each day. Throughout the week, we will celebrate the ways faith is lived at St Therese through prayer, learning, service and community connection. We give thanks for the many blessings of Catholic education and for the opportunity to nurture each child academically, spiritually and socially as they grow in faith and knowledge.

We ask our school community to keep our 11 St Therese students in your prayers as they continue preparing to receive the Sacrament of First Communion. This has already been a special and meaningful journey for our candidates and their families, who have shown wonderful commitment through their participation in the Parent Information Session with Fr Elio, the Parent and Child preparation sessions held this week and by attending their Commitment Masses. We thank these students and families for the time, faith and dedication they have shown throughout this important sacramental journey and we pray that they continue to feel God’s love and guidance as they prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.

Upcoming dates for the First Communion Sacramental Program:
Sacrament of First Communion: 2pm Saturday 6th June or Sunday 7th June
