Good afternoon families,
I hope you have all had a good week and been able to welcome in the Spring.
This week I have started the Annual Review Meetings with the staff. It is always such a privilege to have time to celebrate the success of the amazing staff I have the opportunity to work with.
Year 3 Camp
Our Year 3 students are off to camp. They will be at Camp Gundiwindi for one night. I am not sure who is more excited, the children or Frank! It promises to be a great experience for all those going. I wish them the very best time.
Districts Athletics
77 students will be representing St Louis' on Friday 13 September at the Kingston Districts athletics. I wish all our competitors a successful day. Thank you to Mr Andrew for organising our team.
Movie Night - Despicable me 4
Our PFA have organised a family Movie night on Friday 13 September. It will be on the school oval and the gates open at 5.30 pm. A sausage sizzle and popcorn are available for purchase otherwise bring a picnic. So far we have 30 families who have purchased tickets, we need 90 families just to break even. Please support our PFA and come along and have a great evening and be part of the school community.
Out of Hours School Care - Extend
I have met with our new providers Extend and I am very excited to welcome then to St Louis. Teamkids will finish on Thursday 31 October at 6.15 pm. Extend will move into the OHSC space on Friday 1 November. We will not be able to provide and OHSC on Friday 1 November as we need to give Extend, time to move in and set up the rooms, ready to start on Wednesday 6 November.
Monday 4 November is a school closure day and Tuesday 5 November is Melbourne Cup Day.
Footy Day
Friday 20 September is our footy day. Students can wear their footy/sport team colours/uniforms. It is Give a Ball Day. We ask all families to donate a ball and help us fill our trailor. The balls will be delivered to an indigenous community that are not as lucky as we are to have the sports balls at our disposal.
Learning Conferences
This week starts our learning conferences. Some classes have Conferences on tuesday and Wednesday night due to their teachers being away the following week. The whole school has Learning Conferences on Thursday 12 September 3.30pm - 8 pm and Tuesday 17 September 3.30pm - 5.30 pm. Please book a conference time. An Operoo was sent out from the office last week.
Last Day of Term 3 / First Day term 4
The last day of Term 3 is Friday 20 September at 1 pm.
Term 4 begins on Monday 7 October.
Uniform
Students can wear their full winter or summer uniform from the Monday 7 October until Friday 1 November. All students must wear the full summer uniform from Wednesday 6 November.
School hats are compulsory from Monday 7 October. No hats: No play:
