SENIOR SCHOOL UPDATE
As we wrap up Term 4, it’s incredible to reflect on just how much our Senior School community has achieved over these past weeks. What began as a term full of anticipation, milestones, and opportunities has truly lived up to its promise.
Our Year 12 students have completed the final and most significant stage of their secondary journey with determination and maturity. Their focus throughout the VCE exam period and the leadership they have shown across the year has been nothing short of inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder of the way they have carried themselves as they step toward life beyond school.
Our Year 10 and 11 students have also risen to the challenge, approaching their exams and end of year programs with positivity and purpose. Their efforts now will set them up for a strong start to 2026, and it’s been wonderful to see them growing in confidence and independence.
Beyond the academic focus, the joy and energy across our celebration assemblies and transition programs have reminded us of what makes this time of year so special. Students have thrown themselves into every opportunity, and their willingness to engage, contribute, and support one another has truly stood out.
AMAZING RACE ADVENTURE!
On the 3rd of December, 35 competitive Year 11 students (2026 Year 12 students) traded textbooks for Google maps in our unforgettable Amazing Race event! Blessed with a perfect sunny Melbourne day, teams battled the clock and each other in an epic, fun filled race across the city. Healthy competition was fierce, with participants completing challenging tasks and bonus missions to claim the coveted first-place title and prizes. The winning team consisted of Liv Hutchins, Hawra Salih, Mosab Adam, Jawed Babaie, Mackenzie Perumal and the team nominated MVP, Ruby Fitzgerald!!
The event was a massive success, delivering heaps of fun and guaranteed to have strengthened bonds within the Class of 2026. This action-packed day proved that when it comes to adventure, our students are ready to race to the finish!
A huge thank you to our Senior School, coordinators- Mr. Marie-Jeanne, Ms. Smith, Mr Shane and Ms. Belevski who went out on the excursion and supported the students throughout the day.
A TIME OF CELEBRATION
At our recent Celebration Assembly, we were thrilled to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and achievements of the many students who received Endeavour and Academic Excellence awards. These students have shown remarkable commitment, resilience, and a genuine drive to do their best throughout the semester. Their achievements reflect not only hard work in the classroom, but also positive attitude, persistence, and a strong willingness to grow. Congratulations to each and every award recipient, your accomplishments are truly worth celebrating!
A special congratulations also goes to the students who were recognised for being EPIC (present every period in class!). A specific shoutout goes to Emily Nguyen of Year 10 and Tarun Rellay of Year 11 for achieving 100% attendance and being on time to every single class is an extraordinary effort. This level of consistency and dedication demonstrates an exceptional commitment to learning, personal responsibility, and respect for the school community. We are incredibly proud of these students for setting such a high standard and modelling what it means to be fully engaged in their education.
Well done to all award winners! Your achievements continue to inspire your peers and strengthen the positive culture of our school.

Celebrating Liv’s Extraordinary Achievement
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of one of our Year 11 students, Liv Hutchins, who has achieved a perfect score of 50 for Units 3 and 4 in VCE Legal Studies.
This remarkable accomplishment would be impressive for any student—yet for Liv, it represents something even more profound: a testament to extraordinary resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to her goals.
Liv has lived her entire life managing the challenges of infantile glaucoma and has been a long-term patient of the Royal Children’s Hospital. Despite more than 25 procedures, ongoing treatments, and the knowledge that her vision will not improve—and may further deteriorate—Liv has never allowed her disability to define her capabilities or limit her aspirations.
Her current vision is light perception in her right eye and 3/19 vision in her left eye. She also experiences nystagmus and continues to manage significant intraocular pressures. Yet through all of this, Liv approaches every day with exceptional courage and a remarkable spirit. Her positive attitude, perseverance, and ability to rise above adversity inspire everyone around her.
Liv’s perfect study score is not only an academic triumph but also a powerful reflection of her character. She consistently sets high expectations for herself, works diligently, and embraces every challenge with resilience “second to none.” Her achievement shines a light on what is possible when dedication meets determination.
We could not be prouder of Liv—her hard work, her strength, and the example she sets for her peers and our community. We are incredibly excited for her bright future and all the opportunities that lie ahead.
Congratulations, Liv. Your success is truly extraordinary, and we are honoured to celebrate this milestone with you.
