What's Happening in Prep

It has been a busy term in Foundation. We started off the term with our excursion to Ripponlea Estate. Here are some of our favourite things we did!

I liked going on the Mansion tour because it was very different to my own home: Harper.

I liked the olden days games, especially the egg and spoon race: Jagger

I liked doing the washing, as we got to use a machine that pressed the clothes through it to help dry them.

We enjoyed walking around Ripponlea Estate looking for all the creatures that used to live at Ripponlea. We even got to climb up a tower, which had a great view from the top.

We also had an incursion where we observed different chemical reactions. We also got to test different things to find out if they were an acid or a base. The best part was we got to make sherbet to take home!

During our Science and Technology afternoons we have been making volcanoes. We started by watching videos and reading all about volcanoes. We then looked at different ways that we could make them out of our paper mache. We decided on a design and got to work! We are almost finished and ready to make them erupt.
