Principal's Perspective
Dear Parents and Carers,
Term 3 has been another great term at Auburn South Primary School, filled with learning, achievement and community connection events.
We welcomed students back after a well-earned break and were delighted to see many students enjoying the successful TheirCare holiday program.
Our Year 3 and Year 5 students should be congratulated on their excellent efforts in NAPLAN, demonstrating the knowledge and skills they have developed.
We also celebrated an incredible milestone for Ms Jane Endersby, who was recognised for 35 years of dedicated service to public education, and we thank her for the lasting impact she continues to have on our students and school community.
Throughout the term, students embraced a wide range of enriching learning experiences and special events.
Our Prep students proudly celebrated their first 100 days of school, while National Science Week provided exciting opportunities for inquiry and discovery.
Students also represented the school with pride at the Girls AFL Gala Day, District Athletics, the ASPS Snow Sports Competition and the Interschool Chess Tournament.
Children’s Book Week brought a wonderful focus on reading and imagination, with students enjoying classroom activities and the much-loved dress-up parade with so many amazing costumes.
Parent Teacher Interviews also provided valuable opportunities for families and teachers to work together in supporting student growth and achievement.
Term 3 concluded with several memorable community events, including our House Athletics Day, where students demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience and sportsmanship, and the Winter Fundraiser, which brought parents together and highlighted the generosity and spirit of our school community.
We also commenced the transition to Compass, an important step in enhancing communication between home and school.
As we reflect on a term filled with achievement, learning and connection, we thank our students, staff, families and volunteers for their ongoing support.
We now look forward to a busy and exciting Term 4, with many special events, learning opportunities and celebrations still to come as we finish the year strongly together.
As planning for 2027 continues, we kindly ask families to notify the school office as soon as possible if your child will be leaving ASPS at the end of the year or earlier, as this information assists us with class structures, staffing and ensuring the best possible planning for the year ahead.
We hope that everyone can take some time out to enjoy the upcoming holiday break.
