A busy and rewarding time in the Senior School

It has been another busy and rewarding fortnight in the Senior School, with many opportunities to celebrate the achievements and contributions of our students and staff.

Our annual CAPA Showcase Evening was a highlight, with audiences wowed by outstanding performances and displays in dance, drama, music and visual arts. Congratulations to all students involved. The evening was a wonderful celebration of their creativity, hard work and dedication of our Year 12 students in particular.

The Year 12 students also participated in their final Student Progress Meetings. These important conversations provided an opportunity to receive final feedback and encouragement from teachers as they prepare for the HSC examinations and the final weeks of their Trinity journey.

Last week also saw students participate in a range of exciting opportunities. Congratulations to our Kool Schools recording team. We look forward to hearing the finished product. Well done also to our Book in a Day participants, whose teamwork and creativity were on full display as they wrote, illustrated and published a book in just one day. Our students also enjoyed success at the VEX Robotics Competition, bringing home several trophies.

Friday's Father's Day Breakfast was another wonderful event. Thank you to our Year 11 student volunteers who helped prepare, cook and serve breakfast for the many dads and special visitors who attended.

This week, we launched the 2027 RAW Impact Service Trip to Cambodia, which has generated significant student interest. We also farewelled the first group of Year 9 PASS students as they departed for their Mountain Bike Camp, with the second group heading off next week. Thank you to the staff supporting these valuable experiences.

With much still to come in the last two weeks of this term, we look forward to sharing more celebrations and successes in the next edition.

Student Progress Meetings – Monday 12 October

Student Progress Meetings for students in Years 7–10 will be held on Monday 12 October, the first day of Term 4.

This will be a student-free day for Years 7–10, allowing teachers dedicated time to meet with students and families to discuss learning progress, celebrate growth and establish goals for the remainder of the year.

Year 11 students will participate in a special program on this day, with further information about the program to be shared with families next week.

Details about Student Progress Meeting bookings and the College’s online booking system will also be communicated to families next week.

It’s wonderful to look back and see how far they’ve come. They were clearly destined for great things!

Celebrating our 2026 HSC CAPA students

On Monday 31 August, we celebrated the 2026 HSC journey of our Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) students.

Throughout the year, our students have demonstrated incredible dedication, creativity and resilience as they refined their artistic practice, developed their technical skills and explored ideas through performance, composition and visual art.

Our Visual Arts students have created thought-provoking bodies of work that showcase imagination, individuality and technical skill. Our Dance students have embraced the challenges of performance and composition, demonstrating discipline, strength and artistry. Drama students have worked tirelessly to develop engaging performances and insightful approaches to theatre-making, while our Music students have demonstrated outstanding musicianship through performance, composition and musicological studies.

The HSC major works and performances completed this year represent countless hours of rehearsal, refinement and perseverance. We also acknowledge the invaluable support of families, teachers and peers who have encouraged and inspired our students throughout this important part of their HSC journey.

Congratulations to all our HSC CAPA students on their achievements. We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion and commitment they have brought to our College community and wish them every success as they take their next steps in their artistic and academic journeys.
