Playgroup

Playgroup returned this week! We are focusing on Nature this term and have some great activities up our sleeves (or we think so anyway).

We had an AMAZING time at our Bush Playgroup at Carisbrooke Park! We joined with the other community hubs in South Australia and had over 300 people (including children) come! Some of the activities included; nature scavenger hunt, painting, potion making, bug collection looking, water play, bubbles and more...

We have another combined playgroup event happening in a couple weeks' time at Enfield Community Centre.

Excellence Award for Playgroup

During the School Holidays I attended Playgroup SA's 50 years excellence awards ceremony at Government House.

We were nominated for and won the Excellence in Inclusion award; Recognising playgroups that create accessible and inclusive environments, ensuring all children and families feel welcomed and valued

A message from me: I want to personally thank all our wonderful playgroup families, for your support, for your suggestions, for your patience as I learn the ropes of running a playgroup (and continue to learn!!), and for being welcoming to new families who enter our playgroup doors!

I want to thank Ms Huda, Ms Forough, and Ms Giulia who have facilitated the playgroup alongside me over the past 2 years and have helped to foster an inclusive environment!

I'd like to thank Playgroup SA for their support with training and constructive feedback and suggestions to improve the quality of our playgroup.

And to CESA SPiCE program for their ongoing support in providing activity ideas, training opportunities, feedback, the space to discuss ideas and answering my many many emails with my many many questions.

This award goes out to all of you, it is not through my efforts alone. Thank you! And hopefully our playgroup continues to flourish into the future.
