TERM 4 

This term we focus on our OLSH Pillar: We are Heart People who Touch the Heart of All. We reach out to those in need in our community through the commitment to St Vinnie’s. This term we will continue to learn about ways to help and support others in our community, to show kindness and generosity. Later in the term our focus moves towards Advent and Christmas. 

This term we are selling ice-blocks every Friday at lunch time for 50c each. All money raised will be donated to Vinnie's. 

Draw Near Project.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your incredible support in donating food items for the Draw Near Project.  We raised over 850 food and hygiene items. Your generosity means so much and will make a real difference for the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Service at Vinnies.

Class Mass

On Wednesday 30th October the year 3/4 class will be celebrating Mass in the Church at 9am. All parents are welcome to attend. 

All Saints Day and Souls Day

In November we celebrate All Saints Day on 1st November and All Souls Day on the 2nd November. We will celebrate All Saints Day with a liturgy at 12:30pm.  All Saints is a day is when we celebrate ALL the saints in Heaven. It's a day to pray to the saints and ask them to intercede for us. 

On 2nd November is All Souls' Day this is the day after All Saints' Day, and it is when we remember and pray for those who have died. Praying for the dead is an ancient Christian tradition and is celebrated throughout the world. 

There is a special prayer for All Souls Day, this is called Prayer of Eternal Rest.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and may everlasting light shine upon them, may they rest in peace. Amen

Children's Liturgy

The next Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be at St Brigid’s Church on Sunday 27th October.

Children's liturgy is a wonderful way for the children to have a better understanding of the Gospel of the day’s Liturgy and grow in appreciating the structure and the richness of the liturgy of the word section of the Mass.
