State Athletics Success

On Monday 20th October McClelland College had one of its most successful days at SSV State Athletics with the three athletes competing on the day, all walking away with silver medals. Mj Peters set the standard early with a second in the 16YO Girls 100m Hurdles, followed soon after by a second for Cayden Bell in the 15-16 Boys Multi Class Shot Put, and Bella Shaw rounded out the day with second in the 16YO Girls Long Jump. Cayden also finished 4th in the 200m and 800m, and 5th in the Long Jump and 100m, whilst Bella also finished 4th in the Triple Jump and 5th in the Javelin. Special mention to Kiara Triep who also won through to compete in the Discus. Unfortunately, for Kiara the day conflicted with the last day of Year 12 classes which took precedence.
