Principal's Update

Hello everyone,
District Cross Country was on today, with a number of students heading out to Wesley Hill after qualifying through our school event. Congratulations to Bobbie, Johnny, Noah, Frankie C, Thea, Rui, Sid, Jayden, Levi and Harper on making it through to District Cross Country. It was a beautiful day for it and, as always, students did a fantastic job representing themselves and the school. They should be really proud of their efforts.
Our Year 4/5 students hosted the intergenerational visit last week. Students made tea and coffee, shared some of their learning, and spent time chatting with visitors. We continue to have many familiar faces return each visit, and it has been nice seeing those connections build over time. Some visitors shared that coming to Taradale is their favourite part of the week, which was lovely to hear.
We also held our Open Morning on Wednesday and welcomed a number of new and prospective families into the school. It was a great opportunity to show people what day-to-day life at Taradale looks like and to share a bit about what makes our school special. Many families commented on the calm and inclusive environment and the positive relationships between staff and students.
If you know anyone considering Taradale Primary School for 2027, please encourage them to get in touch with Chris or myself. We are always happy to organise a tour and show people around.
Jess and Chris.
