Book Week 2026
Get Ready for Book Week: A Symphony of Stories!
Book Week is easily one of the most magical and highly anticipated highlights of our school calendar! It’s a week where our teachers and students celebrate incredible Australian authors and illustrators.
Throughout the week, our students will be responding to literature in creative ways, through art projects and engaging comprehension activities. We will be transforming our hall, hallways and classrooms into a vibrant, living art gallery!
The week concludes on Friday, 28 August with our annual Dress Up Day.
- 9:05 AM – Book Parade: The festivities kick off on the school grounds. Students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character or draw inspiration from this year’s theme, Symphonies of Stories. (Don't worry if it rains, we will move the parade inside to the school hall.)
- The Gallery Walk: Following the parade, we warmly invite our school families to step inside and wander through our hallways to marvel at the incredible student artwork on display.
Year after year, the costumes have become more imaginative, creative and inspiring, and it is truly wonderful to see our entire school community join in the fun.
Let’s come together to make this day an unforgettable celebration of all things books. We cannot wait to see you there!
Science Fair information in National Science Week
Join in the fun during Science Week by completing a project to be exhibited in our School Hall! All the details and guidelines can be found on our website: Holy Rosary Science Fair 2026. Last year’s exhibition was our biggest one yet, featuring incredible projects from children exploring the fields of science that fascinate them most. We can’t wait to see the creativity and innovation of our students this year!
