Roadworks Notice | Exford Road Closure
Exford Road will be closed between Staughton Street and Brooklyn Road from 7pm, Tuesday 11 August to 7am, Monday 31 August.
This will impact Buses #3 and #6 as they will need to detour via Coburns Road. All stops will be available, however significant delays are expected.
If you have any further questions in relation to the impact on school buses, please contact Tori on 9743 4966.
The closure is expected to impact families travelling through this area. We recommend planning ahead to account for delays.

Updating Family Details
To ensure we have accurate and up-to-date information, please let the school know as soon as your family details change. This includes updates to:
- Phone numbers
- Home address
- Emergecny contacts
- Email addresses
- Medical information
- Court orders or family arrangements.
Keeping this information up to date ensures we can contact you quickly and support your child in the best way possible.
To update, please visit reception to collect "Update Student Details" form. Alternatively, you can, call reception on 9743 4966, send your child's teacher a message through SEESAW or send the school an email - djirri.djirri.sch@education.vic.gov.au
Parent Pick-Up & Drop-Off
We kindly remind families to observe the school's pick-up and drop-off times to help ensure the safety of all students and the smooth operation of the school day.
School commences at 9:00 am and finishes at 3:00 pm.
We understand that, from time to time, students may need to arrive late or leave early due to appointments. In these circumstances, please notify the school and ensure that all sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed.
Families are asked not to queue or double park outside Gate 1. We understand that traffic can be frustrating and that you may occasionally need to complete another loop. To help reduce congestion, please do not arrive before 8:55 am for drop-off or 2:55 pm for pick-up.
If you miss the school bus, please drop your child off via the Gate 1 loop after 9:00 am.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
Changes to Pick-Up Arrangements
To ensure your child's safety, please notify your child's teacher via Seesaw, the Student Diary, or contact the school office on 9743 4966 if:
- You are unable to collect your child; or
Someone different will be picking them up.
If a new carer will be collecting your child, please ensure they arrive with sufficient time to park and register their details at the office. New carers must provide:
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Agency identification (if applicable)
A driver's licence
If the school has not been informed that your child will be leaving with someone other than their usual pick-up person, office staff will contact families to obtain permission.
Please note that this process may delay your child's departure.
School Loop Reminders
To help keep all members of our school community safe, please remember the following when using the School Loop:
- Come to a complete stop and switch off your engine.
- Wait for the whistle before proceeding.
- Follow staff directions for traffic management and proceed out of the driveway once instructed.
Drive slowly and carefully, as students, families, staff, and members of the Melton Secondary College community may be walking or driving nearby.
