Dear Families,

NAPLAN

Our Year 3 and 5 students have just completed the four NAPLAN assessments in Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language as well as Numeracy. All of the students participated actively and were not impacted at all by any of the technology issues that were reported to have occurred on the first day.

As previously mentioned, NAPLAN is a point in time snapshot of how the students are performing in each of the learning areas and is just one aspect of our whole school assessment procedures. We look forward to receiving individual and cohort results later in Term 2. Once received, individual student results will be sent home to families.

Teeth on Wheels

This year we have the 'Teeth on Wheels' dental van coming to visit the school from Thursday 23rd April. If you would like your child to be seen during this time please ensure you complete and return the consent form that has previously been sent home, by Monday 30th March.

Gelato Van

As part of the celebration of Harmony week we had a gelato van visit the school today. All students and staff were able to have a cup of gelato, with a choice of flavours including Rainbow, Chocolate, Strawberry or Oreo. There were many smiling faces as evident below, with most of the gelato making its way into mouths, although for some of students there was clear evidence that maybe the spoon had missed its target.
