A Prayer for the New School Year

Lord, we entrust this new school year to You, seeking Your blessing for every student, staff member, and family across our Armidale Diocese.

Inspired by Pope Leo’s call to draw new paths of hope, may we be courageous in our learning and compassionate in our service to one another.

Grant us the grace to see Your light in every challenge, turning our daily work into a journey of faith and discovery.

Strengthen our bonds as a community so that we may walk together toward the Hope Filled Future You have promised.

We ask this with joyful hearts, ready to witness Your love in all that we do this year.

Amen.

Welcome Renee

The Mission Team welcomes Renee Dunst to its ranks assisting in promoting Catholic Identity across the diocese. Renee brings years of experience in our schools including being a long serving REC and AP at St Nic’s in Tamworth.

New Staff Induction

All new staff to the diocese under the accreditation to work, teach and lead are required to attend an induction day in Armidale. There are 4dates to choose from which enables schools to spread the load and to give opportunities to staff that start throughout the year. The dates for induction days are:

Term 1 - 27th Feb 

Term 2 - 5th June 

Term 3 - 28th August 

Term 4 - 30th October

Cornerstones

Cornerstones is the minimum accreditation to teach RE in Armidale Catholic Schools. It is also open to non Catholic teachers and EA’s who support RE in the classroom. The commitments for the course are mostly done within the allocated days for seminars. 

Term 1 Cornerstones is on the 4th of March.
