Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Gallery Image

Welcome to the 2026 academic year. It was so rewarding to see so many returning and new faces in our yard on Wednesday morning and we look forward to Foundation commencing next Monday.

This afternoon we have opened up the school so parents can have a look at the wonderful new facilities our students have. I am incredibly appreciative of all the work done by the Baxter Building Company and Crosier-Scott Architects for our refurbished building. Thank you to our staff who have worked so hard since Tuesday lunch time in getting the classes and learning spaces functional and tidy. A magnificent achievement.

Next week we have the Camp Information Night for parents on Wednesday 4th February at 6.30pm. Our Year 5/6 students are off on an Adventure Camp to Grantville from Wednesday 18th Friday - 20th February. I bet they will be getting excited.

The following week our P and F are organising a Colour Run on Thursday 12th February. This should be a fun event that will raise further funds towards our new explicit phonics approach we are introducing in the juniors. Resources and training are quite expensive in moving towards a program such as this so any donations will be appreciated. Evidently the family that raises the most will have the opportunity to cover me in slime. Ahhhh....the things you do!

Friday 13th February is our Opening School Mass. Parents, as always, are invited to join us as we gather together in faith formally for the first time with Fr Martin for the year.

After discussion and reviewing data we will be moving to a fortnightly newsletter which will be on the odd weeks of each term. Communication also will come out regularly from staff through Seesaw and through classroom teachers so everyone should remain fully informed. Please check dates for your diary in the newsletter on a regular basis.

God Bless and welcome back
