Holt Athletics Reflections
This week, selected students from St. Joseph’s travelled to Duncan McKinnon Reserve to compete in our first Holt District Athletics Event. Below are two short reflections from our sports captains, Nicholas and Benji!

On the 24th of August, selected students went to the Holt Athletics to compete for St. Joseph’s. The sun was shining, and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone did amazingly, and our school came 4th overall.
Congratulations to everyone who tried their best; you all did incredibly! My events that I competed in were the 800m race, 100m sprint (which I finished in 3rd place in my heat and 8th overall, YAY!) and the last race of the day: the 4x100m relay! Even though our school didn’t win, everyone competed with heart and soul, and that’s what counts.

On the 24th of August, students were selected to go to Holt Athletics to compete. The sun was shining in the great blue sky, and everyone came in with a great smile, happy to be there. I was in the 100m sprint and the 80 m hurdles. I unfortunately injured my leg, but I pushed through in hurdles and got 4th. In the 100m, I finished third in my heat. All the students from St. Joseph’s represented the school with humility and a positive attitude; it was fantastic to see!
