Parent Teacher Interviews

This week Parent Teacher Interviews begin and it presents itself as another great opportunity for our parents/families to work together with our teachers. These interviews are much more than simply a chance to discuss academic progress. They allow parents to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s strengths, challenges, and learning habits, while teachers benefit from parents’ insights into their child’s interests, experiences, and personality. This two-way exchange helps ensure that learning is supported consistently, both at school and at home.

research shows that when parents are actively engaged in their child’s learning, students experience greater motivation, improved confidence, and stronger academic outcomes. Parent teacher interviews are a key component of this engagement and an integral place holder within our approach to student assessment. They give parents the chance to ask questions, clarify expectations, and celebrate progress, while also identifying practical strategies to help their child succeed.

We encourage all parents to take part in the upcoming interviews as a valuable opportunity to connect, collaborate, and support your child’s growth.

SRC - Footy Colours Day

To finish off the school term,  will be celebrating our annual Footy Colours Day on Friday 18th September, the final day of school! Students and staff are encouraged to come dressed in the colours of their favourite footy team (or sports team) and help us celebrate our love of sport and our wonderful school community.

We will also be supporting the Footy Colours Day to raise awareness and funds for the Fight Cancer Foundation to support children and young people fighting cancer. We kindly ask families to bring a gold coin donation on the day.

And of course, the annual Staff vs Students Footy Match will be taking place during the day! Get your footy colours ready, show your team spirit, and help us finish the year with plenty of fun and excitement!
