Group 16

Group 16 has had a wonderful start to term 3. We have started off the term with our learning under the new theme: Feathers and Fur. Everyone has been working hard so far during rotations - on social skills (working parallel, sharing materials and taking turns) at engagement stations and extending on academic skills at the teacher-directed station. We have been reading animal-themed adapted books to make comments and sentences and familiar nursery rhymes to sequence events and recognise emotions. We have been working on our learning goals too, which also include creating and identifying ‘more’ and ‘less’ amounts for maths.
This term, we also have been doing work in learning areas: Health and Physical Education - Personal, Social and Community Health, where students learn about what is safe and unsafe, healthy action and the body, and Science. Science has been very exciting for our students. They have been enjoying exploring and investigating through science experiments such as ‘fizzy lemons’ and ‘magic milk’.
We had also had two birthdays this term. The class enjoyed the celebrations very much with our group gatherings for music and singing Happy Birthdays.
We are looking forward for what is to come and the progress in learning through the rest of term 3. Great work Group 16!
