HoL

Cooking for a change

Our HOL students are going to assist with. The dates that we will be cooking food are Friday 21/8 and Friday 11/9.

Today our year 5/6 Hands On Crew had the privilege of being part of the Cooking for Change program with Echuca Regional Health, Echuca Neighbourhood House and Bendigo Foodshare. We spent the morning cooking up a storm with Kristy and Jess. Students were honoured to be giving back to the community by preparing a delicious meal of spaghetti bolognese for the Feeding Futures Full Bellies Freezer. We added another 30 meals.

Preps have been practising their addition sums

At the conclusion of our numeracy unit on measurement, Grade 5/6 students created a 3D Food Truck using their understanding of area, perimeter and length. Along side their fantastic creations students also created a menu, including the weight and capacity of each item.
