Acting Principal's Report

The sun is finally starting to shine, and that spring feeling is certainly in the air! Hopefully, there have been a few more positive messages you have been receiving via Sentral. Staff have been making a really conscious effort to celebrate all of the wonderful things our students have been achieving, along with demonstrating our school values.
You will have noticed that the Specialist School has some building works occurring as they begin their build for their hydrotherapy pool. This will result in them closing off the footpath on the school side, meaning students who walk or ride to school will need to ensure they are travelling safely to and from school. We also ask families to be patient and understanding with any increased congestion as a result, particularly at pick-up and drop-off times.
We would also ask our families to be mindful of using the bus access lane out the front of the school. This is reserved for ETRSS school buses during their pick-up and drop-off times. There is a disabled car park that can be accessed; however, we ask all families and community members to respect this space and leave it available for those who require it.
The Parent Opinion Survey has been communicated via both Class Dojo, and a hard copy has been sent home. We value all families' feedback and perspectives on how we are tracking as a school. We use this information to help direct future goals and targets for us as a school to achieve. If you need any support accessing the survey, please contact the office and we can assist.
Like most workplaces, looking ahead never stops, and we are hitting that peak time when we begin to make decisions surrounding 2027. While our Grade 6 students will begin to prepare for life outside of primary school, the rest of us will begin to look at the transition into 2027. We run a comprehensive transition process here at ETRPS, and I would encourage any family or prospective family to contact me should they wish to discuss anything heading into next year.
School Council is meeting on Wednesday 26th August. We are still looking for:
To be able to have your say in our school and help shape our direction moving forward, please reach out via the office for more information.
I would like to acknowledge Miss O, who finished up with us this week after completing four weeks with us. She slotted in seamlessly in the 1/2B space and has a big career ahead of her! We wish her all the best moving forward and hope to see her back here at ETRPS one day soon!
From 1st September, students will be required to wear brimmed hats once again, as per our SunSmart policy. Begin having a look and reminding your child that this will be coming back soon. For students who do not bring a hat after this date, they will be required to stay in the shade during our scheduled break times.
For any support with uniforms, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
It is crazy to think that we are nearing the end of Term 3, and it is jam-packed with a range of different events. The best place to keep on track with upcoming events is Class Dojo; however, always feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher or the office if you have any questions.
