Every two years, the College formally seeks feedback from the school community through Independent Schools Victoria's isLEAD School Effectiveness Surveys. Students, parents, and staff across the full breadth of the College – from ELC to Year 12, day and boarding – will receive links to the surveys in an email tomorrow.
By listening to our community and regularly engaging with parents and students, we already have a clear idea of what is valued and the areas in which we can do better. The isLEAD surveys augment this current view and also allow us to make comparisons – against ourselves over time and against other similar schools in the sector.
I have great belief and confidence in the future of our College and the fine young people we help to shape. But confidence isn’t blind, it also listens to feedback – both the brickbats and the bouquets – and always seeks to improve.
When the survey link arrives in your inbox, please consider giving 10 minutes to help inform the continued growth and flourishing of our school. Further information about the surveys is available here.
I am very pleased to formally announce the appointment of Jane Young as incoming Director of Rowing, taking over from Gill Russell, who concluded at the end of last season. This new appointment furthers Jane's already broad contribution to the College through the Old Collegians' and the Parents' and Friends' Associations. Jane brings a long involvement in rowing and her well-known organisational skills to the role, and I look forward to her commencing in the role in the lead-up to the summer rowing season.
There is an Expression of Interest link in the Sport page of this newsletter.
