🌟 What a Term! 🌟
As we head into the holidays, we just wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to our wonderful school community! From donating cans and bottles, to volunteering your time, sharing ideas and supporting our school events — it all makes a difference, and we are so grateful for everyone who gets involved. We hope all of our students, families and staff have a wonderful and well-deserved holiday break! ☀️ Enjoy the rest, have some fun and we’ll see you all back for a wonderful Term 4! 🎉
♻️ CDS
A HUGE thank you to all of the families and students who have been donating their cans and bottles each week! Thanks to your amazing support, we have now raised just over $1,000 this year! Every single donation helps us raise funds that go directly towards making our school a better place for our students and the wider school community. So, whether you’ve dropped off one can or a whole bag full — Every little bit really does add up! And with those donations, We are excited to share that our second Buddy Bench is now on order! We hope our Buddy Benches continue to provide a welcoming space where students can connect, make new friends and never feel like they have to play alone.
🛠️ Working Bee
With the incredible help of our school community and our amazing volunteers, we were able to complete so many much-needed upgrades around the school yard. A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported our Working Bee yesterday! One of the big changes was the installation of our new picnic benches! It’s amazing what we can achieve when our community comes together. To everyone who gave up their time, got stuck in, moved things, fixed things, cleaned things or simply helped wherever they could — we appreciate you! Thank you for helping us make our school a little better, one project at a time!
📚 Our Community Survey
We’ve also been busy ticking more things off the list following the results of our recent Community Survey! Your feedback helped us identify some key areas that our community would like to see improved, and we’re really excited to be able to start making those ideas happen. More books for our library are on their way! We know our students love having new and exciting books to choose from, and we’re thrilled to be able to put some of our fundraising towards growing our library collection.
📅 Upcoming PA Events
🎉 Trivia Night
Saturday, 21 November
We are eagerly awaiting our upcoming Trivia Night, and the PA has been working hard behind the scenes to make sure it will be a fun and exciting night for everyone! We have some wonderful items up for grabs in our silent auction, which will be held during the Trivia Night, and we can't wait to share them with you.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the local businesses and community supporters who have generously contributed prizes and donations to help make this event possible. Your generosity and support mean so much to our school community. If you own or operate a business, or know of a business that would be interested in supporting our Trivia Night through donations or prizes, we would love to hear from you. Every donation helps us raise funds that can be put back into improving our school and creating positive opportunities for our students.
We have some wonderful things planned for Term 4 with details and dates to be released at a later time, so please watch this space!
⭐ Volunteers & Joining the Parents Association
The Parent's Association is always looking for new members and volunteers! Whether you can help regularly or only have the occasional hour to spare, your support makes a real difference to our students and the wider school community. There are plenty of ways to get involved, from helping at events and fundraising activities to assisting behind the scenes.
