Drawing Competition

Hi I’m Tennyson your Conder house captain.

The judging was very difficultand after lots ofdiscussion and great consideration we have chosen our winners. 

Each of the Conder house captains had different opinions and all the entries were amazing.

We eventually decided that the foundation winner is Junsu from FM! Congratulations! 

The winner from 1-3 is, Charles, from 1RB! 

Now for the grade 4-6 winners. This was challenging for us to pick this winner. Although it was very hard, we have come to a decision. 

The winner is, Sepi From 4P! 

Now it's time for the overall winner. This was extremely hard to choose, so we have 2 winners. 

The conder mascot for the 2026 drawing competition is  Joanne from 5M! And Eimear from 6T! 

Thank you to everyone who participated in this competition. Be proud that you tried, and everyone's drawing was fabulous. 

Last week, the McCubbin captains picked out the winners for the McCubbin art competition. 

We chose two winners from grades 1-3, a winner from 4-6, and an overall winner. There was a long voting process as all the entries were amazing. But at the end of the day, there can only be 4 winners. 

Finally, we settled on Sophie from 2RT, Natalie from 2N, Emma from 6T, and Neeva from 5T, whose mascot will be the McCubbin Mascot for the House Lunch. 

We want to thank everyone who was brave enough to enter, and even if you didn’t win, you showed great confidence and independence.

Hi, I'm Ben, your Ibbott vice-captain. 

First, I wanted to say that all our entries were amazing. All the competitors should be very proud of their entries.  This was an amazing house mascot drawing competition. 

A big shoutout to all the grade winners and the biggest shoutout to our overall winners; Scarlett T form 6T Ashley. L from 6RJ, Neeva from 5T and Joanne from 5M and Eimear from 6M. Your drawings will be our official house mascots. 

Congratulations again and remember even if you didn't win, your entries were all amazing. I hope you all enjoyed the competition. Have a good holiday and I hope we all come back for a great term 4

Hi, I'm Ev, your Sutherland Vice Captain.

Along with the rest of the Sutherland House Captains, I judged the House Mascot Drawing competition for Sutherland 2026. We had a lot of fabulous entries, full of colour, skill, and House pride. Unfortunately, after comparing the entries, we could only pick a few of these drawings.

What we were mainly looking for in the mascot was someone who had included lots of their house colour, and a lot of effort in. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the entries as they were great! 

Year 1 Mini beasts 

This term, our Year 1 students completed an a unit on mini beasts. They explored various types of mini beasts and learnt about their classification, appearance, habitats, diets, life cycles, and many other interesting facts. 

As part of their learning, students researched, wrote an information report, and created a model of their chosen mini beast. They were excited to share their projects with families and other classes throughout the school.

Congratulations to all our Year 1 students! The Year 1 teachers are incredibly proud of your hard work.
