What's Been Happening in Year 4

The Year 4 students have had a busy last few weeks preparing for and receiving their First Holy Communion. 

On Thursday the 4th of June, the Year 4 students participated in the Year 4 Eucharist Retreat Day at the Catholic Precinct in the City. This was an opportunity for the students to experience St. Patrick's Cathedral in East Melbourne followed by a special talk about Australia's two most influential women in the Catholic Faith - St. Mary of the Cross Mackillop and Venerable Mary Glowrey. The students built on their learning in the classroom and allowed for the experience of prayer, purpose and creativity to engage us deeper into the sacrament. 

On Sunday the 14th of June, the Year 4 students received the Sacrament of Eucharist. It was lovely  to see the students come together and receive the bread and wine for the first time. We congratulate each student on their learning and participation during our Eucharist unit.
