Catholic Schools Week
This year Armidale Catholic School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week from 25th -29th May. The theme for this year is Our Hope Filled Future.
To celebrate Catholic Schools Week there will be 3 Deanery Masses.
Tuesday 26th May - Tamworth Deanery (St Nicholas Church)
Wednesday 27th May - Armidale Deanery (Saints Mary & Joseph Catholic Cathedral)
Thursday 28th May - Moree Deanery (St Francis Xavier Church)

As in previous years it will be great to see staff and students represented at the various deanery masses.
World Youth Day
ACS plans to take a delegation of young staff between 18 and 35 years of age on pilgrimage to World Youth Day Seoul 2027. This is open to all staff within the age range, not exclusively teaching staff.

New Staff Induction
Please note a second date in Term 2 has been added
All new staff to the diocese under the accreditation to work, teach and lead are required to attend an induction day in Armidale. There are 3 dates to choose from which enables schools to spread the load and to give opportunities to staff that start throughout the year. The dates for induction days AR

Armidale Diocesan Art Competition - Mary; Our Mother
Our Diocese is thrilled to announce the launch of our 2026 Art Competition: "Mary: Our Mother." This is a unique opportunity for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to express their faith and creativity.
Whether it is a painting of the Annunciation, a drawing of Our Lady, or a modern digital portrait of Mary’s strength, we want to see your vision!
- Prizes: Winners will be announced during Catholic Schools Week (commencing 25th May), with prizes awarded for every Stage.
- A Lasting Legacy: Selected artworks will be chosen to feature in our official Diocesan Angelus resources, becoming a part of our community's daily prayer life.
- The Details: Entries must be no larger than A3. The competition opens Tuesday, 17th March and entries close Friday, 15th May.
