SSV Holt Soccer Lightning Premiership Caulfield Park 2026
On Friday 24th of May, St Agnes' competed in the SSV Holt Soccer Lightning Premiership against eight other schools in the Holt District at Caulfield Park. The Boys/Girls teams was comprised of 38 St Agnes' students from Years 5 and 6. Both teams of St Agnes' students competed in a round robin competition of shortened games.
The weather was great for soccer, 22 degrees and sunny for most of the day, this made it very pleasant for players and spectators alike. The results were great this year. St Agnes' girls competed well all day and won most of their games, but unfortunately were beaten in the final by St James. Our boys defense was solid in all games with not many goals being scored against them. The boys also made the final but were unfortunately beaten by Our Lady of Lourdes Prahran.
The boys and girls were thrilled to make it to the last game, but not as thrilled to be beaten in the final. But they had a great day overall and the smiles on all the students' faces confirmed that it was a very enjoyable day.
I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers/staff and parents who helped out and came to support the students on the day. Most of all I thank the teams for doing an amazing job representing St Agnes. Parents, teachers and myself are all very proud of you.

On Thursday 30th of April, St Agnes’ competed in the SSV Holt Cross Country against 8 other schools at Bald Hill, Clarinda. The St Agnes’ Boys/Girls teams was comprised of 51 students from Years 3 to 6. The Weather again was majestic for this time of year, sunny and 23 degrees. The Cross Country Gods were smiling upon us and this made it very pleasant for runners and spectators alike. St Agnes’ did well considering we are one of the smaller schools. We came 2nd overall and 3rd on percentage. The overall winner this year was OLOL and the Percentage winner was St Catherines.
Our school spirit shone through, with everyone doing their best and enjoying the day. Congratulations to those students who will progress to the next level for Beachside on Tuesday 26th May at Bald Hill, Clarinda.
