You are welcome to our Parents and Friends annual general meeting held on Thursday 12th March at 2.15pm at the school.
The AGM is a great opportunity to:
If you are interested in attending, please let Miss Jill know at the office prior to the day so you can complete a registration form beforehand. We would love to see new faces and welcome anyone who would like to be involved!
The Westbreen community want to take this opportunity to thank Ms Zoe very much for doing such a wonderful job coordinating the Breakfast Club over the past 12 months, supplying rumbling tummies with delicious food to start their days 😊 Unfortunately she is having to step away from this role due to other work commitments. As a result of this we are looking for a member of our community who might be willing to take on this role. If you have a child at school that likes to come to Breakfast Club then it may be an opportunity to share some of their school journey with them, we all know how much children love to have their parent spend time at their school.
The days could be negotiated to suit you, however the hours are approximately 7.45-9.00am, 3 days per week. Duties include setting up, preparing the staple foods eg toast, cereals, flavoured milk etc and then other times a special of the day may include pancakes, crumpets, avo toast, sausages on toast, cheese toasties or whatever you like depending on how creative you want to get! 😊 I am happy to do the ordering of food through the organisations that are on board and Ms Bridget is happy to do the ordering of any extra items. I can also take over the admin tasks to make it easier as well, and of course our superstar ES ladies will be there to support you in the mornings and helping feed the hungry mob!
If this is something that you might be interested in or you have some further questions please reach out. It would be great if we can get someone on board asap. If there is someone you can think of that you could share the role with then we are also open to unpacking that further.
A Working With Children Check would be required to perform this role.
I hope to hear from you soon
Ms Georgie
This Thursday at Family Time we’re ready for some fun — with a little surprise!
We’ll be running one special activity, depending on the conditions on the day.
If we’re indoors, we’ll host our Crafty Mystery Challenge, where families can choose a concealed bag filled with surprise crafty goodies and challenge themselves to create something amazing using only what’s inside. No peeking, no swapping! Just creativity, teamwork and imagination!
If we’re able to be outside, we’ll swap the craft for a classic scavenger hunt and enjoy some fresh air together.
🕒 Thursday: 3:15 - 4:15pm
📍 Location: Under the blue sails OR the Library
Please listen carefully to the school announcement on the day for exact details about which activity we’ll be running and where we’ll be meeting, and don't forget that all students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult to attend.
We can’t wait to see you there! 💛
Our Games Bonanza last week was a fantastic afternoon of fun and friendly rivalry. A special congratulations to Ned in 2S, who managed to dethrone Miss Kerry as the reigning Connect 4 Champ! Never one to back down from a challenge, Miss Kerry is already practising for their next showdown.

As advertised last week, Miss Bridget is in desperate need of more volunteers to help share the load of providing lunch and snacks for our community, especially on Friday’s.
Volunteers will need to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) card and complete a 5-minute Induction Session with me before starting in the canteen. I am also more than happy to help you obtain your WWCC card if you need help. Go to Working with Children Check to apply for your WWCC card.
If you are interested in helping on 1, 2, or all 3 days the canteen is open, please contact me via Kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au or call on 03 9306 9481.
Our Westbreen Community Playgroup will be returning to Team Westbreen but not until TERM 2. Look out for more information coming out about that in future newsletters. Alternatively, you are welcome to contact me for more information via email kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au.
