Community Member Award
Siobhan Beavis is recognised for her outstanding dedication and invaluable volunteer service to Peakhurst Public School that has expanded over a decade. She has generously contributed her time and effort by organising and managing P&C fundraisers such as cake stalls on election days and providing an invaluable service to our community with the operations of the second-hand uniform shop. Siobhan's commitment has greatly enriched the school community and exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and collaboration.
Teacher Award
Laura Pozoglou is recognised for her exceptional commitment to quality teaching, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and promoting collaboration within the school community. Through her dedication, Laura consistently ensures that every student is supported and valued, embracing diversity and championing inclusive practices. Beyond the classroom, she has made significant contributions by actively promoting autism awareness, facilitating meaningful community access programs for students, and playing an integral role in the success of the school show. Her passion, professionalism, and collaborative spirit have greatly enriched our school community and positively impacted the lives of students, staff, and families alike.
Farewell
This term, we bid farewell to two valued members of our school community. It is with a mixture of gratitude and warm wishes that we announce the retirement of Mrs Janet Stephen and the departure of Mrs Dominique Jones, who will be moving on to new opportunities.
After many years of dedicated service to the Department of Education including Peakhurst PS, Mrs Stephen is retiring. Over her time with us, she has made an incredible impact on students, colleagues, and the wider school community through her passion for teaching and commitment to education. Her wisdom, kindness, and dedication have left a lasting legacy, and she will be deeply missed. We thank Mrs Stephen sincerely for her years of service and wish them all the best in this exciting new chapter.
At the same time, Mrs Jones has decided to separate from our school to pursue new professional pathways. We are grateful for her contributions, expertise, and the positive influence she has had on staff and students alike during her tenure at Peakhurst PS. We wish Mrs Jones success and happiness in her future endeavours.
Please join us in celebrating the achievements of both Mrs Stephen and Mrs Jones, and in wishing them every success as they embark on the next stages of their journeys.
