Holy Cross News

Dear Families,

Welcome to this week’s newsletter. It has been a wonderful, vibrant week here at school, filled with great conversations and a very special milestone.

Valuing Our Home-School Partnership Over the past few days, I have had the pleasure of chatting with many of you during our Parent-Teacher meetings. The feedback from these conversations has been overwhelmingly positive. We deeply value these meetings; they are a crucial opportunity to build a strong bridge between home and school. Sharing insights, celebrating your child's progress, and setting goals together ensures that every student feels supported and understood. Thank you for making the time to engage with our teachers and for your ongoing partnership.

Celebrating 100 Days of Prep!

Today, we are celebrating a massive milestone: 100 Days of Prep! Seeing the excitement and pride on the faces of our youngest students today has been an absolute highlight. When we reflect on where they started at the beginning of the year, it is incredible to see how much these children have grown as learners. They have transformed from hesitant beginners into confident, curious students who are navigating school life with enthusiasm and joy. Congratulations to our Preps—and their families—on a fantastic first 100 days! A big thank you to our wonderful Prep teachers Jodie and Chloe, their support staff Wendy, Michelle and Raelene, along with all staff and older students who made this a special day for our beautiful Preps. I have asked the Preps to write a reflection with their big buddies for our next newsletter!

A Jam-Packed Term Ahead

As we look ahead, our events calendar is absolutely jam-packed for the remainder of the term. We have a fantastic lineup of both learning showcases and sporting events on the horizon. There are some big, exciting events coming up that will provide our students with wonderful opportunities to challenge themselves and shine outside the traditional classroom setting. There are also fun incursions for Science Week being held over the term! Please keep a close eye on the upcoming dates section of the newsletter so you don't miss out on the action.

Planning for 2027

Finally, I want to extend a sincere thank you to all the families who have already submitted their enrolment intentions for 2027. We have officially begun the complex process of looking at our school structures, class setups, and staffing for next year. Having this information early is vital for our planning, so if you haven't yet completed the N-forma form, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Assembly this week - all welcome at 3pm

Wishing you all a fantastic and wonderful week ahead.
