Digi Tech - Cam Taylor  

Students will be using a range of problem solving and programming skills to explore game design. They will demonstrate their knowledge of algorithms and sequencing events using the Bloxels program to create their own games.

Art - Carmel Fitzgerald 

During Term Four, the students use visual conventions and visual arts practices to express themes in their artworks, adding value and shading. They will develop some more advanced perspective techniques and describe how artworks that they make and view, can be displayed to enhance meaning. Students describe and identify how ideas are expressed in artworks from different cultural contexts.

Music – Tania Rusbridge 

After exploring the fundamentals of Silent Film in Term 3 students will continue to use these concepts to finalise their 'Mini Silent Movie' in groups. This has involved exploring elements of drama and stagecraft as well as using Bandlab for Education where they will continue to compose, arrange and edit a digital musical composition to accompany their act. Students will work towards having their acts ready for a performance late in Term 4. 

Science - Emma Jensen 

Students learn about electricity and how it is used as a source of energy in our daily lives. and through experiments and investigations, students will build an understanding of circuits, conductors and insulators.   

Indonesian – Bu Jacqui 

This term, Grade 6 students will be bringing together everything they have learned in Indonesian during their primary school journey to create a passport to Indonesia. This is a final opportunity for students to showcase their language skills and cultural knowledge while learning more about Indonesia’s diverse culture, geography, and traditions.

PE - Danielle Coates & Class Teachers 

In Term 4, students will refine their two-handed strike through participation in games such as rounders, tee ball and cricket. They will continue developing skills in communication, negotiating roles and responsibilities, positive group participation, strategic thinking, encouraging others and demonstrating ethical behaviour, fostering both personal growth and teamwork. 

We will conclude the year by refining and combining fundamental movement skills, applying them effectively across a range of sporting contexts.
