French update

Madame Emily & Monsieur Paul

Bastille Day – coming soon!

Bastille Day is fast approaching. It will be held on Wednesday 2nd July (Week 11). The day will be filled with French food, crafts, sports and film activities.

Everyone is invited to dress up in French-inspired costumes which can be as simple as wearing bleu, blanc or rouge (blue, white or red). Students are encouraged to bring a gold coin donation to support the valuable work of Médécins Sans Frontières (MSF). MSF translates to Doctors without Borders, which provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare.

There will be a French assembly after lunch where the junior school students will be performing a French song they have been learning in class. Parents and guardians are invited to attend.

To add to our Bastille Day celebrations, croissants are available for purchase through the Parent Hub. Each croissant is $2.50 each and will be delivered to your child's class at lunchtime on the day. Order as many as you like!

Berthe Mouchette Poetry Competition Results

The results are in, and we are thrilled to announce that three students in our school have advanced to the finals of the French Poetry Competition.

Congratulations to Louan B in Year 6, Chloe B in Year 3 and Clara P in Year 3. They will all be competing this Sunday in the final round of the competition against students from across Victoria. Good luck to you all!
