Sports Update

Cross Country Superstar

Congratulations to Charlotte Neville for her fantastic results at the NSWPSSA Cross Country Carnival in Sydney last week. She placed 36 out of 78 runners in the state for 11 years girls. Well done Charlotte! We are all extremely proud of you.

Athletics Carnival

Unfortunately, our St Joseph's Athletics Carnival faced repeated cancellations due to unsuitable weather. Despite these challenges, we rallied our resources to ensure our Primary students could still complete their events, allowing them to qualify for next week's Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival.

A huge thank you to Nicole and Brendon Watson, and Stephanie Hollingworth for generously volunteering their time to assist with timekeeping and measuring during our athletics trials. We're also incredibly grateful to Glen Innes Public School for allowing us to use their grounds to successfully run our 800m, 1500m, and Long Jump events.

Congratulations to the following students who have qualified for the Armidale Catholic Schools Athletic Carnival: Jimmy Chard, Angus Falconer, Matt Pietsch, Sophia Nugent, Rosemary Wright, Peyton McBain, Emily Halloran, Felicity Adams, Chase Gelhaar, Charlie Schalk, Will Grimmond, Zara Correy, Charlotte Neville, Brooke Graham, Claire Bailey, Maggie Doust, Lara Newberry, Alec Newberry, Sam Stephens, Harry Smith, Ivy Watson, Matilda Schalk, Lacey Poulton, Eva Poschelk, Theodore Clifton, Strauss Dodds, Clayton Cooper, Claire Pietsch, Cotton Gray, Teal Taylor and Charlotte Wehr. We wish you all the best.
