From the Principal's Desk

Hello CGPS Community. We find ourselves heading off on the term 1 break already!
It has been a wonderful term full of engaging learning, amazing achievements and exciting events. We have had Cross Country, NAPLAN, grade 6 inter-school sport, grade 6 SHARP program, year 3 local community walk, Harmony Day, prep and grade 1 First Aid program, weekly running club, grade 2 and 4 swimming, Teeth on Wheels, parent-teacher interviews and student support group meetings, lunchtime clubs, grade 2 mini-beasts incursion, school photos, start-up week and celebration day, and a successful first term of school for our prep students - congratulations!
Today we are having our annual Easter Bonnet Parade on the basketball courts at 2.30pm followed by the raffle draw. Huge thanks to our Parent's Association and office staff who spent time collecting, wrapping and counting money for the raffle. $1300 has been raised to go towards our buildings and grounds updates this year! Thank you to all who donated goods and purchased tickets, we couldn't do these things without our amazing community support.
I would like to congratulate Miss Wilson and Coppa, who has passed her therapy dog training Level 2 and is now officially a certified therapy dog! She will be joining our parade today dressed in her own bunny costume!
Please enjoy a safe and relaxing Easter break and school holiday period. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday the 20th April for Term 2.
