Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,
Last Tuesday 9th June our Year 5/6 students were involved in a Lightning Premiership at Jubilee Park against our local Seaford area schools. Thank you for all the preparation that went into this from staff and the many parents who supported through attending. It was a great day.
Last Thursday 11th June Mr Sullivan took our Marine Ambassadors to learn more about protecting our bay. They will use what they learnt to inform the rest of the students.
Last Saturday our students at selected Masses began to celebrate their First Eucharist. May this be a blessed time for them. This will continue through to July. I thank staff that are able to attend these special masses to support our students.
Our students are all currently enjoying our yearly Arts program, which is dance this year. They are learning a variety of dances in different levels in preparation for our Dance Showcase at 6pm on Thursday 25th June in the hall.
Today some of our Year 5 and 6 students are involved in a play off at Belvedere Park PS for mixed netball. We trust that they enjoy this experience.
We have a number of staff who over the next while will be enjoying some well earned Long Service Leave. Mrs de Veer and Mrs Canavan will be away for next week and the first two weeks of Term 3 and Signora Morina will be on leave for Weeks 1-5 of Term 3. We wish them all a wonderful time to recharge their batteries and return to us refreshed.
I always seem to state what a big term in has been for everyone at St Anne's. Below are a list of some of the great activities that our students have had the opportunity to be a part of:-
Alleluia Day/ Easter Bonnet Parade
Anzac Ceremony
JPC Transition Day for Yr 5 Students
District Cross Country
Winter Sport and Lightning Premiership for the Seaford District
Mothers Day Celebration
House/Kaboom Sports
Walk to School Morning
Pentecost Mass and Celebration Day
Official School Opening of the new Senor Wing
Celebration of Reconciliation
Yr 3/ 4 Woodwork lessons
Confirmation Preparation Evening
Marine Ambassadors Trip
Dance Program and Performance.
Our Term concludes next Friday at 3.30pm and I thank all staff, students and families for what they have contributed. On our final day I know Mr Sullivan and his team have planned to make the most of our pumpkins that grew so well and make up a batch of pumpkin soup for the students to enjoy.
God Bless
