Another couple of weeks have passed in our beautiful library. As the year winds down to a close, here's what we've been up to:
A visit from little creatures
This week we were visited by little creatures (aka soft toys) who were looking for people to read to them. The little creatures were quite shy and scared and needed lots of cuddles and love. Our grade 1/2s were super keen to step in and look after them! Here's a few pictures of the grade 1/2s reading to their little creatures during their library class. It was hard to say goodbye to the little creatures and everyone is eager to have them visit again!
2025 borrowing has finished
Borrowing has finished for the school year, to everyone's great disappointment! We have now begun the process of returning, cataloguing and weeding all the books in the library so that we are ready for the new year! We will continue to read during our library classes and if there are any books that you or your child would like to see in our collection in 2026, let us know!
Potrick book launch
We are all still on a high from the launch of the school's very first picture story book, Potrick the Caterpillar, earlier today. A big thank you to everyone who came to support the budding authors and illustrators who created the book and to those of you who purchased a copy. Library volunteer thank you afternoon tea
As a thank you to all our parents and family members who have volunteered time or items to the library, we will be having a little afternoon tea on Thursday the 11th of December from 3.15 - 4.00pm in the library.
