Behind every mother is a woman who has given more than the world will ever see - the sleepless nights, the invisible labour, and the quiet sacrifices that never make it onto a card. The comparison trap is one of the quietest and most destructive battles of motherhood. Another mum's Instagram. Another child's milestone. Another family that seems to have it all together while yours feels like beautiful, exhausting chaos.

But motherhood was never meant to be compared. It was meant to be cherished - as the unique, irreplaceable, God-given journey that it is. This Mother's Day, the greatest gift you can give your wife/partner isn't found in a shop. It's found in the way you see her - really see her - and tell her so. Husbands/partners, here (attached) are practical, heartfelt ways to honour the mother of your children in a way that goes far deeper than flowers and breakfast in bed. “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” - Proverbs 31:28

Mother's Day can be one of the hardest days of the year for women carrying hidden grief - the longing of infertility, the silence of miscarriage, the ache of losing a mother, the weight of a difficult relationship. If that's you, or someone you love, know that your pain is seen, your grief is real, and God has not forgotten you in this. We encourage you to be honest with trusted family members, friends or a counsellor, and pray that you find grace, compassion and the hope that only Christ can give.
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18
