We hope everyone had a restful break and are ready for an exciting final term of sport. Below are the details for our Term 4 sports programs.
QGSSSA Senior & Junior Badminton:
The Senior Badminton competition will be held in Week 1 on Saturday 5 October. We look forward to seeing all players at the final training session on Monday 30 September at Sam’s Badminton Arena.
The Junior Badminton competition is scheduled for Week 2 on Saturday 12 October. Junior players have two remaining training sessions to fine-tune their preparations for the Gala Day competition.
QGSSSA Junior & Senior AFL Pre-Season Programs:
The Junior AFL Program (Years 7 to 9 in 2024) will continue preparations for the QGSSSA competition, which begins in Week 3 on Saturday 19 October.
The Senior AFL Pre-Season Program will start this term, offering a fantastic opportunity for both new and returning players to develop their skills. Training for the Senior teams (Years 10 to 12 in 2025) will focus on preparing for the 2025 competition season.
QGSSSA Pre-Season Swimming Program:
For students preparing for the upcoming swimming season, pre-season training will commence Tuesday 1 October in Week 1 of Term 4. This is a great way to build fitness and refine techniques in readiness for the 2025 QGSSSA Swimming Championships.
BBI Club Basketball - Summer Season (Boys in Years 4-8):
Our Summer season of Basketball with BBI (Brisbane Basketball Inc.) is open to boys in Years 4 to 8. This competition runs during Term 4 2024 and Term 1 2025 and offers a fun yet competitive environment for our boys to enhance their basketball skills.
Swimming Program:
Boys in Years 7 to 8 are invited to attend swimming training on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:00am to 7:15am This is a great opportunity to stay active, improve swimming skills, and have fun while keeping fit.
Please ensure you have registered for your chosen sport via Parent Lounge and that you are familiar with training times and venues. We are looking forward to another great term filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and development.
This is the main form of communication used by the College. As a condition of enrolment, we request every caregiver download the College App (free download).
The App provides current information about events and activities, as well as important notices and alerts (for example, training cancellations or venue changes, wet weather plans and ETA of buses returning from co-curricular activities).
It also includes a live school calendar and key school contacts. You can manage your notifications and subscriptions to ensure you are only seeing what is relevant to your family. Please refer to the below link for information and access.
The 2024 Sports Celebration Dinner provides an opportunity to showcase a sample of the endowed young sporting men and women that are found at Clayfield College. We warmly invite all students and their families who have participated in sports throughout 2024 to come together and commemorate the past year of sporting endeavour.
The Sports Celebration evening, will emphasise students profound love for sport and how this passion has forged countless dreams, brought students together, and instilled a shared sense of purpose. We are thrilled to recognise the exceptional achievements of the many young individuals who have excelled in the diverse array of sporting opportunities offered here at Clayfield College.
