Confirmation Celebration
On Tuesday night, the 28th of October, we celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation of nine of our Year 6 students at St Patrick's Cathedral. It was a wonderful celebration with Archbishop Peter leading the sacrament together with Bishop Thinh DD and Fr Trung SJ.
With the support of so many parents, sponsors and fellow students, the candidates read, sung and were confirmed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We want to thank following people:
- Fr. Trung Hoang Nguyen, SJ, Parish Priest for guiding us
- Archbishop Peter and Bishop Thinh for leading our sacrament
- Ms Licia Marchese, for all her hard work in the organisition of the Sacrament
- The Year 5/6 teachers for their teaching and guidance of our candidates
- All the staff, parents and sponsors who joined us on this wonderful evening
The St Kevin's Year 9 boys (Waterford Campus) for joining us in the special celebration
Our students' confirmation sealed them as a member of the Body of Christ, the Church. The Sacrament of Confirmation will strengthen them and activate in them the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are stirred to action to use their gift for the betterment of their community and ultimately the world.
