WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY

Friday Oct 31 2025

Tomorrow we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication, care, and passion our teachers bring to the POPS community every day.

Our teachers do so much more than teach; they inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and create a sense of belonging for every student. Alongside them, our incredible Education Support staff play a vital role in supporting both students and teachers.

A heartfelt thank you to all our staff for the difference you make in the lives of our students. Your hard work, creativity, and care make POPS a truly special place to learn and grow.

We’re also grateful to our Parents’ Association and the school community, for acknowledging our staff with a thoughtful coffee card and treat from Cooper and the team at The Corner, your kindness is greatly appreciated!

Families might like to send their children to school with a bunch of flowers from the garden, a heartfelt card, or a simple note of gratitude to brighten a staff member’s day.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Thank you to our wonderful school community for your ongoing support and partnership.

At last Tuesday's School Council meeting, the 2026 Financial Parent Contributions were approved. While government funding covers the essentials, your voluntary contributions help us go further, enhancing learning, wellbeing, and resources for every child.

2026 Voluntary Parent Contributions

Curriculum, other contributions, and tax-deductible donations totals:

  • Foundation / Year 1: $407
  • Year 2: $402
  • Year 3 / 4: $440
  • Year 5 / 6: $500

Your support makes a real difference and is a valuable investment in your child’s education. Payments can be made via Compass from next week, with full details to follow.

We are so grateful for your continued commitment to our school community.

🌿 POPS Working Bee

– Thursday, Nov 14 | 3:45–5:00 pm-

We’re looking for community-minded helpers to lend a hand with a few  projects, including tidying the Indigenous Sensory Garden, maintaining garden beds, and refreshing the chicken coop, veggie patch, and Foundation planter boxes.

Bring your own tools if possible, every bit of help counts!

Sausages will be sizzling to keep our volunteers fuelled. Come along, get your hands dirty, and help keep POPS looking great! 🌱

If you’ve got skills in trades, gardening, or landscaping, or can help with organising Working Bee tasks, I’d really appreciate your support!
