SCHOOL COUNCIL REPORT
Tuesday October 28 2025
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending another School Council meeting. One of the key focuses this month was reviewing the POPS draft budgets for 2026 and the voluntary parent contributions. On behalf of the School Council, I’d like to extend a big thank you to Elissa for her hard work and dedication in preparing these documents. It’s a huge undertaking, but such an important one to help maintain the financial stability of our school.
We also took time to reflect on the success of TheirCare, our before and after-school care provider, as they approach their one-year anniversary at POPS. TheirCare has done a fantastic job working alongside the school to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for our students. From all reports, the children are loving the programs on offer, and the team has been wonderfully responsive to feedback.
A huge thank you also goes to the POPS PA for the incredible fundraising efforts throughout the year. The success of the Father’s Day stall at the end of Term 3 is a testament to the many volunteer hours and dedication our PA members give to support our school community. I know I’m not alone in looking forward to the arrival of our tray of mangoes!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Term 4. It’s hard to believe there are only seven weeks of school left!
