QUOTES ABOUT THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

“This year my role as Learning Specialist will look a little different, as I am out of the classroom full time, supporting learning and wellbeing across the school. Like the students, I was both nervous and excited for my first day, as I find my feet in a new role! It was great to see familiar faces of staff, students and parents as well as to meet our newest community members. We had a great couple of first days and I’m looking forward to the rest of 2025!” Melanie Davis, Learning Specialist

“I felt good and comfortable and I had a good time in the playground. I got to do lots of things in the classroom. I like my new teachers and friends.” Grace, 1C

“I was nervous for the first day of school. I met new friends and I played with them. At the end of the day I felt good.” Harry, 2B

“My new teacher is great! I love the decorations in the classroom. I have some really good friends and I think I have made some new friends as well! I didn’t know some people very well and now I know a lot about them. We also got to do some really fun activities and lots of drawing.” Audrey, 3A

“My day yesterday was really fun. We played lots of new games. We did a little get to know about us and we coloured in some mindful colouring sheets. It was very fun. It was amazing and I loved all the people in my class. Ms Xanthos is such an amazing teacher and has lots of fun ideas we can do altogether.” Amelie S., 4C

“In the morning I was feeling excited to see my friends, but also nervous because it was a new classroom. Once it got to the middle of the day, I was feeling much more comfortable in the classroom. At the end of the day, I was really excited to come back. I really like the new walls because it makes the classroom feel more cosy and divides the classrooms, so you don’t get distracted by other classes.” Etienne, 5C

“I was really excited when I first entered the classroom. When the day started it was really fun. For my last year, I need to focus on my work, but I had lots of fun on the first day of school. I enjoyed working with my new teacher and my classmates. I’m excited to have my last year of school with this class!” Anabya, 6A
